Yeah, I've had this thought before. The I'll start a run streak only to have it end on the next day when things get busy, or allowing myself rest when tired, or just taking the day off because I'm sick.

However this time I'm hoping things go differntly. In the past I never had rules, or accountability. This time I'll have both. For one this blog is my accountability, my place to keep track. And as far as rules, I recntly read that 1 mile is the minimum run to keep streak according to the group of Americans that keep run streaks going.

With the New York City Marathon coming up as a goal for this fall, I figure a run streak couldn't hurt preparations. And I hope that I don't stop there.

My end goal is to inspire others. My belief is that my young students could one day be great runners, and every run I do seems to hook them.

So I've run everyday since Wednesday May 30th. So Run Streak is now at 4 days!
